Bespoke Gunmaking

I have over 20 years experience in the trade working for the best English gun & rifle makers, and have worked alongside some of the finest craftsmen in the trade. This enables me to build my own products by drawing upon the finest specialists in their fields when necessary.

I personally project manage and oversee each stage throughout a bespoke build. The entire process takes approximately 2 years, and well over a thousand working hours. The general stages of a shotgun and double rifle build are as follows: barrel making, actioning, stocking, engraving, and finally finishing, and the client will feel they are an active part of this journey through constant communication.

Guns can be built in a range of actions to suit individual choice. Side-by-side styles I can offer include: Beesley, Holland & Holland, and Anson & Deeley. Over and Under shotguns will be built on the Woodward/Purdey pattern. I also build bolt rifles for stalking and African dangerous game in calibres from .243 to .500 Jeffries. I prefer to start from a Mauser style of action manufactured in the UK, but on request I will use actions to suit personal preference.

On request, I can also undertake builds using the client’s supplied parts. These builds will be for projects “in the white”.

I offer a unique photographic and editorial journal of the entire process, from the barrel making through to finishing, thus providing the customer with detailed provenance of their hand-crafted work of art which can be passed down to future generations.

During the order process I consult with the customer on every aspect of the build, and can entertain even the most esoteric requests, thus making it a truly bespoke tool of both beautiful form and superb function.
